Kay F. Bryant, 59, a retired Buffalo teacher, died Friday (Oct. 10, 1997) in her Buffalo home.
Born in Goldsboro, N.C., Ms. Bryant moved to the Buffalo area in 1965 to become a business teacher at Woodlawn Junior High School, now Buffalo Traditional School. She retired in 1992 but occasionally served as a substitute teacher until her death.
Ms. Bryant was executive assistant for the Buffalo Area Council of Churches on Delaware Avenue. She was an active member of Sunrise Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Constance Coran; a son, Anthony L.; two sisters, Carol of Cromwell, Conn., and Doris Joyner of Goldsboro, N.C.; one brother, Harry of Goldsboro, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Wednesday in Sunrise Church of Christ, 413 Sherman St. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.[ulrch]
