John R. Soock, 84, a retired employee of a Buffalo steel fabricator and a resident of Orlando, Fla., since 1975, died Friday (Oct. 10, 1997) in his daughter's home in Kissimmee, Fla., after a lengthy illness and under hospice care.
Soock was a structural steel layout worker for the former Sen-Wel Industries in South Buffalo. He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Orlando and a 40-year member of the Knights of St. John, Commandery 47.
He is survived by his wife, the former Irene V. Popp; two daughters, Judi L. Bonafede of Kissimmee and Esther McDonald of Los Angeles; a son, John L. of Homosassa, Fla.; a sister, Susan Cassidy; a brother, Joseph of Phoenix; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Grissom Chapel, Kissimmee.
