Helen L. Weil, 90, formerly of the Jefferson Apartments, an executive secretary for the former Oldbury Chemical Corp., died Friday (Oct. 10, 1997) in Schoellkopf Health Center after a lengthy illness.
The former Helen Marshall, a native of Bellefonte, Pa., was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and the former Broughton's Business College.
She worked as an executive secretary for the president of Oldbury Chemical, which later became Hooker Chemicals & Plastics Corp., now Occidental Chemical Co.
She then lived for 20 years in New York City with her husband, Robert T., who had been the dean of engineering at Manhattan College. They then lived for several years in Southern Pines, N.C. Mrs. Weil returned to Niagara Falls after her husband died in 1977.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Niagara Falls.
She is survived by a close friend, Marion N. Neff.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Otto Redanz Funeral Home's LaSalle Park Chapel, 2215 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.[nfschr]
