William Thomas, 75, of 18th Street, died Thursday (Oct. 9, 1997) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a short illness.
Thomas, a Niagara Falls native, graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School.
He was a journeyman welder and cabinet maker with Local 463 of the Operating Engineers. He worked on the Niagara Power Project in the late 1950s and retired shortly thereafter due to ill health.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Thomas' wife, Warnera S., died July 26, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Donald W. and Douglas L. of Lewiston; a brother, Albert of Ransomville; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, South Avenue and 11th Street, after prayers at 9 in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Michigan Avenue and 10th Street. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.
