Jack A. Dayfert, 57, of Murphy Road, who operated Dayfert's Collision and Painting Co., died Thursday (Oct. 9, 1997) in a road construction accident on Lockport Road.
A native of Scranton, Pa., he operated his business on Murphy Road for 22 years. He previously worked for 19 years at Hoak's Garage in Buffalo.
He was a former member of the North Bailey Volunteer Fire Company in Buffalo.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Raymond; two sons, Scott of Avon Park, Fla., and Daniel of Lockport; two daughters, Donna Miller of Nashua, N.H., and Lyn Hall of Chalmette, La.; his mother, Jeanette of Scranton, Pa.; a sister, Ruth Yavorski of Scranton; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
