Susan Curran Hoyt, executive director of Erie County Commission on the Status of Women, will speak at a dinner for Business and Professional Women's Club of Buffalo Oct. 20 in Lombardo's Ristorante.

Barbara A. Demerest is chairwoman of the dinner which marks the club's observance of National Business Women's Week, Oct. 19-25.

Mary Jane Zak is chairwoman of the club's observance and she and Ramona L. Gallagher will conduct workshops with guidance counselors and teachers in Waterfront Elementary School Oct. 23, 27 and 28 in connection with a mentoring program for eighth graders being instituted by the club. Kathryn A. Jackson, youth leadership chairwoman, is in charge of the program.
