William J. Daunce of North Adam Street, a retired house mover and rigger, died Tuesday (Oct. 7, 1997) in Lockport Memorial Hospital. He was 80.

A native of Lockport, he was a World War II Navy veteran.

His hobbies included woodworking, restoring antique furniture, hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, the former Mildred Thom; a son, Mark W.; and a grandson.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3121 Beebe Road, Newfane. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
