NEW UB INSTITUTE PLANS OPEN HOUSE

The University at Buffalo's Institute for Local Governance and Regional Growth will hold an open house Thursday in its new home in Beck Hall on UB's South Campus.

The event, from noon to 5 p.m., will include an informal dedication of the recently renovated hall at 2 p.m.

Speakers will include State Sen. Mary Lou Rath, R-Williamsville, head of the Senate's local government committee; UB President William R. Greiner; Provost Thomas E. Headrick; and institute director John B. Sheffer II.

Greiner formed the institute last spring.
