Miriam Heary, a former teacher for the Niagara Falls School District, died Saturday (Oct. 4, 1997) in her Upper Mountain Road home after a long illness. She was 92.

The former Miriam Anderson was born in Renovo, Pa., grew up in Jamestown and moved to this area in 1925.

Mrs. Heary taught business subjects in Niagara Falls schools.

Her husband James died in 1993.

Survivors include a son, James of Watertown; two sisters, Helen Biechele and Esther Black, both of Fairfield, Conn.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Watertown.
