BICYCLIST BUMPED BY CAR HELD IN KILLING OF DRIVER

A bicyclist shot and killed a woman whose car bumped him as the two vehicles made a left turn at an intersection in this Washington suburb, police say.

Alajandra Jose Grant, 26, of Silver Spring was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting near the University of Maryland Wednesday afternoon, said Prince George's County police spokesman Michael Montgomery.

Police said Joy Estrella Mariano Enriquez, 19, of Oxon Hill had pulled over after bumping Grant's bike. Grant approached her, the two argued and then he pulled out a pistol and shot her in the head.

Grant fled on foot, but was apprehended several blocks away, police said.
