TODDLER IS INJURED IN COLLISION

A toddler was badly injured Wednesday when his mother's car was hit by a garbage truck.

Timothy J. Post, 3, of 4 Barrows St. was taken by Starflight helicopter to Children's Hospital in Buffalo after the crash and was listed in critical condition.

Jamestown police said the city sanitation truck, driven by Rodney D. Storer, 33, of Gerry, ran a stop sign at English and Kinney streets shortly before 8 a.m. and hit the auto driven by Rhonda L. Post, 30. Storer, who was not injured, was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at a stop sign.

Mrs. Post and her two other children, Gabrielle, 9, and Christopher, 6, were treated in WCA Hospital and released.
