LANCASTER DISPATCHERS GET 9% RAISE OVER 2 YEARS

Police dispatchers in the Town of Lancaster will receive pay raises this year and next year under the terms of a new contract, town officials said Wednesday.

The two-year agreement, which has been approved by Police Chief Tom Fowler and the Town Board, will increase salaries for the town's five full-time dispatchers by 4 1/2 percent in 1997, retroactive to the start of the year, Supervisor Robert H. Giza said.

The dispatchers will also receive 4 1/2 percent raises next year, Giza said.

The dispatchers previous salary level of $30,176 will increase to $31,534 this year under the new contract, Giza said.
