Delaware North Companies Inc. has named Elizabeth (Libby) L. Pidgeon vice president-human resources. She previously was vice president of POS/customer service for Tops Markets Inc. Ms. Pidgeon holds a bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College and a micro MBA certificate from the University at Buffalo's School of Management.

The Buffalo law firm of Andrews, Sanchez, Amigone, Mattrey & Marshall has named Alan L. Bernstein and Robert J. Maranto Jr. partners. They both concentrate their practices in the area of personal injury litigation. Bernstein is a graduate of Syracuse University and the University at Buffalo School of Law. Maranto is a graduate of Canisius College and Duquesne University School of Law.

Azerty Inc. of Orchard Park, a wholesale source for computer consumables and office products, has named Mike Masters and Arthur Daniels computer hardware representatives in its hardware department. Masters holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and business management from Bryant and Stratton Business Institute. Daniels, previously a sales representative for Ingram, is a graduate of the University at Buffalo.

Dr. Thomas Leary and Elizabeth Sholes of Industrial Research Associates in Buffalo recently represented the United States and presented a paper on the preservation of grain elevators in the United States and Europe at an international conference on grain elevator preservation at the Center for Canadian Architecture in Montreal They were the primary historians on the Buffalo grain elevator documentation project for the Historical American Engineering REcord of the National Park Service in 1990-91.

Kideney Architects of Buffalo has named Ian Frederick Taberner to its design staff. He formerly was director of design for Gunn Levine Architects in Detroit, Mich. Taberner holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Pratt Institute and a master's degree in design studies from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.

Northeast Mechanical Inc., a Buffalo mechanical contracting firm, has named Marshal B. Brown an account executive, and Richard M. Lynch senior account executive. Brown, formerly with Jordan Supply, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration Buffalo State College. Lynch has more than 20 years experience in the technical, mechanical and management areas of HVAC systems. He will supervise the service operations.

Creative Concepts of WNY Ltd. in East Aurora has named Sally O'Brien media planner. An Orchard Park resident, she formerly was marketing services coordinator for Barrister Information Systems Corp.

DBM Control Distributors Inc., a Buffalo distributor of heating and air conditioning control systems, has promoted Thomas M. D'Angelo Jr. to commercial specialist for radiant floor heating and air distribution products. He has held various positions in the company for 20 years.

Robert E. Knoer, a founding partner the firm of Marcus, Knoer, Crawford & Hilton, has been named chairman of the Erie County Bar Association Environmental Law Committee.

Viatran Corp., a Grand Island manufacturer of pressure transmitters, has named Trevor Poole product manager, and Fedir Venikov an electrical engineer. Poole formerly was an engineer for Taber Industries. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in industrial engineering. Venikov previously was a technical marketing manager for the Elis Group Inc. in Canada and London, England. He holds a master's degree in electrical engineering and a doctorate in industrial measurement and control systems instrumentation.

QCI Assessment Management Inc. has hired Richard J. Maguire for its business development and client service team. He previously was sales and marketing manager for Wellco Equipment. Maguire holds a bachelor's degree in economics from UB.

Lucent Technologies in Amherst has appointed Mike Doller a territory agent. He has more than 12 years experience selling business telephone systems.
