Timothy E. Demler has announced his candidacy for his second two-year term as supervisor.

Demler, a Republican, said his administration has cut the town budget by 6 percent per year and taxes are down 9.5 percent. He said more than 20 new businesses have opened in Wheatfield in the past
two years.

Demler emphasized his drainage record, claiming that his term has seen "more drainage remediation than at any other point in Wheatfield history." About 11 miles of ditches have been cleared, and plans have been made to bring sewer service to all residents that do not currently have it.

Demler boasts six party endorsements: Republican, Conservative, Liberal, Independence, Right to Life, and Freedom.
