Gladys M. LeFrois, 75, who operated the Steak Barn restaurant in Medina, died Monday (Oct. 6, 1997) in Medina Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
Born in Laurel County, Ky., the former Gladys Corey and her first husband, Stanley L. Saj, owned and operated Saj's Superette in Medina for 18 years. In 1968, they opened the Edgewood Restaurant, which later became the Steak Barn. Saj died in 1982.
Mrs. LeFrois was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing and entertaining.
Surviving are her husband, Robert G. LeFrois; three sons, Gary L. Saj, Gregory S. Saj and William H. Saj, all of Medina; two daughters, Patricia S. Freling and Nancy S. Oveis, both of Medina; five stepsons, Michael LeFrois of Atlanta, Jeffrey LeFrois of Verona, Gregory LeFrois of Dover, N.J., Christopher LeFrois of Rochester and David LeFrois of Medina; a sister, Maxine Bundy of Bedford, Ind.; and 12 grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon Thursday in St. Mary's Church, West Avenue and Eagle Street, Medina. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
