Two men pleaded guilty to drug charges after they were caught smoking marijuana behind a church Sunday night, police said Monday.

Chautauqua County sheriff's officers investigating the report of a suspicious car parked behind the United Methodist Church at about 8:30 p.m. found Derrick J. Parson, 21, of North East, Pa., and James P. Jolden, 20, of Ripley, with a small quantity of the drug.

Both were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. They pleaded guilty in Town of Ripley Court and paid a $100 fine.
