MAN DIES AFTER FALLING WHILE CLIMBING IN TETONS

A New York man died of head injuries after he fell 150 feet while climbing a mountain in Grand Teton National Park, officials said Monday.

John Jay Leach, 23, of Old Forge died Sunday afternoon after hiking to Amphitheater Lake with six friends.

Officials said he left the group at the lake and decided to climb the east side of Disappointment Peak. Park officials said Leach was not experienced and had no climbing gear.
