Helen R. Luce, 68, of Johnsonburg, a longtime 4-H leader, died Monday (Oct. 6, 1997) in her home while under Hospice care.
Born in Sheldon, Mrs. Luce was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Orangeville, where she was also a member of the Women's Fellowship.
She was a 4-H leader for more than 35 years, a member of the Tri-Town Senior Citizens and the Johnsonburg Home Bureau and a volunteer at Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Frederick G.; six daughters, Becky Fenton of Elmira, Brenda Housenecht of Ohio, Cheryl Comfort of Colorado, Cindy Barto of Idaho, Karen Shadbolt of Attica and Kay Lilac of Varysburg; two brothers, Fred Royce of Hudson and Marv Royce of Varysburg; two sisters, Esther Fisher of Colorado and Mary Royce of Warsaw; and 15 grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Marley Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Attica. Burial will be in Johnsonburg Cemetery.
