The fifth annual "Me, a Teacher" program in the Hamburg Central School District will be held at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 15 in the middle school at
360 Division St.
School and community experts will present various workshops to help parents deal with drug prevention, parenting techniques, full-day kindergarten, new graduation requirements and family issues. A presentation also will be made on the district's switch to a middle school concept this year from a junior high school.
The program is for parents of children from prekindergarten through the eighth grade. Registration begins at 4 p.m., and the cost is $6 per family for those who preregister or $7 on Oct. 15. Dinner begins at 4:45 p.m. To register early, contact the middle school.
The featured speaker will be Raymond Cooley, retired principal of Southside Elementary, who will discuss consensus building.
Buffalo story teller Karima Amin will present a workshop for children on storytelling.
