Jim Colbert, the Senior PGA Tour's player of the year the last two years who underwent prostate cancer surgery in June, will play his first competitive round in four months today in Bermuda. Colbert, who also had arthroscopic knee surgery five weeks ago, is one of 24 men's, women's and senior players in the Gillette Tour Challenge at the Mid Ocean Golf Club. Colbert's first full tournament back will be the Kaanapali Classic on Maui, Hawaii next week.

In other golf news, Lisa Hackney is the U.S. LPGA's Rookie of the Year after finishing in the top 10 of seven different tournaments. Hackney, 30, is 15th on the tour's money list with earnings of $305,984.
