Quality Quest, Zonta and the Grand Island Conservation Committee will hold a meet the candidates night Oct. 16 in Trinity Methodist Church, 2100 Whitehaven Road, Grand Island.
The program will open at 7 p.m. with a presentation by Art Klein of the Western New York Bicycle Advocacy Group on making Grand Island a more bicycle-friendly place.
The second hour will be devoted to four-minute responses by town candidates to two questions, one on preservation of the Island's streams and woodlands and the other on how the Island could participate in
environmentally related tourism.
No questions will be permitted from the audience, but the program will be followed by refreshments and a chance to talk with the candidates.
