Clemence H. "Bud" Lucas Jr., 35, of Nebraska City, Neb., was killed in a crash Sept. 26, 1997, in Nebraska City.
Lucas, a native of Buffalo, was among five people killed in the crash of a car and a pickup truck.
Born in Buffalo, Lucas attended Lackawanna High School and left for Nebraska shortly before his senior year.
An Army veteran, he was stationed in Germany.
In Buffalo, he attended church at a Salvation Army branch on the West Side.
At time of his death, he was performing odd jobs and completing his education in auto mechanics at a trade school.
Survivors include his father, Clemence H. Sr. of Drury, Mo.; his mother, Sandra L. Rice Gerzeski, and his stepfather, David Gerzeski, both of Nebraska City; and four sisters, Marjorie C. Bailey of the Buffalo area, Goldie Libby of Lancaster, Ohio, Alberta Braden of Omaha, Neb., and Betty Mullanack of Drury.
Graveside service were held in Pleasant Home Cemetery, Drury.
