BANDIT TAKES $250 FROM FALLS STORE

A man, who held his hand in his jacket as if he were holding a pistol, made off with about $250 cash at 1:16 p.m. Monday from the Hometown Market, 1536 Pierce Ave., Officer John Petrishin said.

A store employee said the man, about 21, 6 feet tall with a burnlike scar on his cheek and wearing an olive green army-type jacket, blue jeans and a black sweatshirt, fled north through yards in the 1600 block of Pierce Avenue, Petrishin said.
