The Department of Motor Vehicles will open its office in the Dunkirk & Fredonia Plaza Oct. 27, according to Ronald Hall, director of central services for Chautauqua County.
The department is relocating from 15 Lucas Ave. That office will close Oct. 24, and the move will take place over the weekend.
The department will be housed at the western end of the shopping plaza. A drive-through window will allow more convenient service, County Executive Andrew Goodell said.
The Department of Environmental Health also will move from the Lucas Avenue building to the plaza.
Other offices housed on Lucas will be moving next year to the Graf Building, 319 Central Ave., which is being renovated.
