MAN ROBBED OF $500, HIT WITH GUN; 2 HELD

Officers from Broadway and Genesee stations arrested two suspects accused of using duct tape and a gun to rob a man of $500 in a Peace Street yard late Sunday, authorities said.

Tisheka Brooks, 20, of Newburgh Avenue and Davan M. Dark, 18, of Donovan Drive allegedly placed duct tape over Charles Funderburg's face before stealing his money and hitting him in the head with a gun at 11:05 p.m., police said.

Brooks was arrested in the 200 block on May Street by Broadway Officers Timothy Mulhern and John Simonian. Dark was seized by Genesee Officers Mark Padilla and Tom Kenezivic in the 100 block of Reed Street.

Assisting in the arrests were Broadway Lt. Mark Michalek and Officers Keith Vona, Tara Regan and Ivan Watkins and Genesee Officers Joy Negron and Efrin Colon.

The two men were charged with robbery, police said.
