An Amherst man was beaten with a lead pipe at his Walden Avenue business Sunday afternoon, according to Genesee Station officers.

John Tomizzi of 137 Princeton Ave. said a man parked a car in front of the building and attacked him with his fists, his feet and a lead pipe and then left with the victim's jacket containing the keys to the business.

Police said Tomizzi sought treatment at Buffalo General Hospital.

The assailant was described as a white male driving a car with the license number D91-4PB.
