Mabel E. Weber, a former confidential clerk to a New York State Supreme Court justice and a former executive legal secretary, died Friday (Oct. 3, 1997) in Orchard Manor Nursing Home after a brief illness.
Mrs. Weber, 94, formerly of Highland Avenue, was born Mabel Mietz in Wolcottsville.
She moved in her early 20s to Medina, where she worked as a confidential clerk to State Supreme Court Justice B.E. Harcourt. She then worked as an executive legal secretary for FMC Corp. in Middleport.
Mrs. Weber was a charter member of the Niagara-Orleans Business and Professional Women's Club and a member of the Western Orleans Hospital Twig Association and St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed traveling and had traveled to Europe and extensively throughout the United State.
She was the widow of Edward J. Weber.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1357 West Ave. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.[nfschr]
