ARSON BLAMED FOR BUILDING FIRE

Arsonists struck a hotel under construction Sunday afternoon, causing an estimated $50,000 damage.

Teen-agers seen in the area are being sought by the Niagara Regional Police.

The fire was reported at 3:55 p.m. at 7273 Montrose Road, at the corner of McCloud Road, where the still-unnamed hotel was between 40 and 50 percent completed.

The Niagara Falls Fire Department quelled the blaze in the north wing. The site is near the Niagara Square shopping plaza, not far from the Queen Elizabeth Way.
