Thank you, Sabres. Thank you, for what? Remember those chants when the Sabres gave the fans something to cheer about and had something to look forward to the following season?
Well, the recent fiasco of Pat LaFontaine just nailed the coffin shut on the long slow death of the Sabres. After a promising future last year, the Sabres management has managed in one year to bring down a once proud organization by getting rid of one of the finest coaches in Ted Nolan and now getting rid of Pat LaFontaine, a player who next to Gilbert Perrault is one of the best players and class individuals to wear a Buffalo Sabres uniform.
Thanks to the Sabres' management, with its mindless decision-making, the echo of "Thank You, Sabres" will not be heard for a long, long time.
