Now seems stale
and tepid
when dreaming of
the hour we met
and I asked why
you sucked in
the night's voltage
and breathed it
down my spine
forcing me to
strip naked and
lie singed
in the gap
so I wouldn't electrocute
my children
when I kissed them
good night
