Cat show: The Friskies All-Breed Cat Show features hundreds of breeds as well as vendors of cat-related items from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Niagara Falls Convention and Civic Center on Fourth Street. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children 12 and under.
Fall Rummage Sale: The Women of First Presbyterian Church on Cayuga and Fifth streets, Lewiston, will hold a fall rummage sale of clothing, household items, books and collectibles from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the church social hall. A bag sale will start at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be available.
Creating crafts: Children ages 8 and older are welcome to create crafts starting at 4 p.m. in LaSalle Library, 8728 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls. The craft sessions will also be held on Nov. 12 and Dec. 10. Reservations are not necessary.
Pumpkin Carving: Sharon Howarth from Menne Nursery will demonstrate pumpkin-carving techniques for the whole family, including children in kindergarten and above, from 7 to 9 p.m. in North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive. Reservations are not necessary.
The All American Auction: A special edition of the First Saturday program in Youngstown Free Library will feature a presentation by Lewiston resident Don Luman on auctions. Beginning at 9 a.m. in the library, which is in the Red Brick School on Lockport Street, Luman will discuss the history of auctions and provide buying and selling tips, then conduct a fun auction of some antiques so participants can practice the skills they have learned. Proceeds of the auction will benefit the library.
Caregivers Fair: People who are caring for loved ones with disabling diseases can get information and sources of support at this event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Summit Park Mall. Community care providers, agencies and companies will answer questions about support groups, special equipment, respite care, rehabilitation and long-term care. Sponsored by Orleans-Niagara BOCES.
Rummage sale: And baked goods sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Pekin United Methodist Church, 2914 Upper Mountain Road. A bag sale will begin at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served.
Prime Rib Dinner: In Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church, 166 59th St., Niagara Falls, from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under 12. Entertainment by the Niagara Experience Players.
