A 12-year-old boy who made a cross-country trip to visit a 31-year-old Virginia man he met on the Internet was found unharmed in the man's house, authorities said Saturday.
FBI agents said Brian Poulsen was found Friday night in a closet at the Fairfax, Va., home of a man he communicated with online. The man, who was not identified by authorities, was questioned but not arrested.
The boy was taken to a hospital for a checkup and appeared to be in good condition, Special Agent Susan Lloyd said. It wasn't clear whether he was coerced into staying at the home.
The man sent Brian a bus ticket after the boy said he was having trouble at home. He told Virginia police he put the boy on a bus home Sept. 22, but Brian never arrived in Los Angeles.
The FBI found the home in Fairfax by tracking telephone calls the boy made with a calling card.
"I'm angry at the man, very," the boy's mother, Celeste Poulsen, told KCBS-TV. "I want to meet him face to face. I want to ask him, 'Why? What's your problem?' "
