The Buffalo Bills come off their bye week to face the Detroit Lions at 1 p.m. Sunday in Rich Stadium. There will be no television.

Canisius takes on Iona in college football today at 12:30 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex. Buffalo State plays host to Brockport State at 1 p.m. at Coyer Field.

Niagara-Wheatfield travels to Sweet home for a matchup of the top two teams in The Buffalo News Large School Polls today at 2 p.m.

Things to view

The baseball divisional series continue this weekend, led by the New York Yankees at the Cleveland Indians in Games Three and Four today at 7:30 p.m. (Ch. 2) and Sunday at 7:30 p.m. (Ch. 29).

The Buffalo Sabres take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday at 7 p.m. on Empire. Pat LaFontaine leads the New York Rangers against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday at 7 p.m. on MSG.

The unbeaten Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Green Bay Packers at 1 p.m. Sunday on Ch. 29. The New Orleans Saints take on the Chicago Bears in Mike Ditka's less-than-triumphant return to Chicago on Sunday at 8 p.m. on TNT.

Miami plays at Florida State today at noon, and Ohio State plays host to Iowa in a Big Ten game at 3:30 p.m. in the second game of the Channel 7 doubleheader.
