PENDLETON EYES SLIGHT BUDGET HIKE

Town Supervisor William A. Boulden has presented a tentative 1998 budget of $3,130,736 -- an increase of 0.21 percent from 1997.

He said, however, that he and the other members of the Town Board would try to reduce the tentative budget before voting on final adoption.

In the proposal, the councilmen and the supervisor would be paid the same amount as they are for 1997: $3,850 apiece for the councilmen and $12,000 for the supervisor.
