Leona E. Hauke, 71, of Elmwood Avenue died Friday (Oct. 3, 1997) in Lake Shore Nursing Home, Rochester, where she had been staying during an illness for the last four months.
A Lockport native, the former Leona Weaver graduated from Lockport High School.
She was a homemaker for most of her life. She also worked at the former Locust Street Laundromat for a short time in the 1970s, before becoming a laundry worker at Lockport Memorial Hospital for about five years.
Her first husband, Charles Storms, died in 1964. She married again in 1979, to Frank Hauke, who died in 1990.
Mrs. Hauke enjoyed crocheting. She belonged to the Clinton Street Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Larry C. Storms of Rochester and Jeffrey J. Storms; a stepson, Frank; two daughters, Barbara E. Storms of Grand Island and Rose Storms; two brothers, Paul Weaver and Raymond Weaver; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
