GEORGE O'DONNELL, RETIRED STATIONARY ENGINEER

George O'Donnell, 77, of Eisenhower Drive, a retired stationary engineer at Harrison Division, General Motors Corp., died Friday (Oct. 3, 1997) in Lockport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He had worked for 32 years at Harrison before his retirement in 1982, and previously was a stationary engineer at the Carborundum Corp., Niagara Falls.

A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member and past president of Post 2535, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also was a member of Navy Ship 110 and B. Leo Dolan Post 410, American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, the former Erna Palmreuter; a son, George T. of Bloomington, Ind.; a daughter, Barbara Dion of Victoria, British Columbia; a sister, Eileen Sprung; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Burial will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
