A man delivering office supplies was killed, and three others were injured -- including a bicyclist listed in critical condition -- when a downtown bus careened out of control Thursday down Fifth Avenue.
The driver, who had a history of medical problems and, police said, suffered a "possible heart attack or seizure," also was hospitalized.
The dead delivery man was identified as Alexis Castro, 39, of Queens, said police spokesman Gary Cillo.
The biker was identified as Neil MacFarquhar, 38, of Soho, a reporter for the New York Times. He suffered internal injuries and broken bones and underwent surgery. The helmet he was wearing was shattered.
