Julianne Malveaux, economist, syndicated columnist and president of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, will be the featured speaker at the 61st New York State Conference of the Branches of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Oct. 10-12 in the Buffalo Hilton.

Ms. Malveaux will deliver her address at a luncheon Oct. 11. An awards dinner will be held that evening.

The conference also will include a memorial service for the late Daniel R. Acker, who was president of the Buffalo Branch of the NAACP for 25 years, Oct. 10 in St. John Baptist Church.
