YOUTH CHARGED WITH PROVIDING BEER

A 16-year-old was arrested Wednesday after he was accused of giving two 15-year-old girls enough beer to make them drunk, police said.

Richard Doxey of 256 Ontario St. was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child at 1:30 p.m., police said.

Police said the arrest was made after the two girls became so drunk they became ill and then fell asleep at police headquarters.

Man arrested in theft of wheels, rims

NIAGARA FALLS -- A North Tonawanda man was charged Wednesday evening in the theft of $16,400 worth of wheels and rims from Gambino Toyota, 6980 Niagara Falls Blvd., Detective John Olander said.

Craig W. Raines, 33, of 391 Oliver St., a former Gambino employee, was charged with third-degree grand larceny.

Raines is accused of stealing the equipment from Gambino while he worked there dating back to February and selling the wheels and rims to auto parts dealers in Buffalo, Olander said.
