Kitty Carlisle Hart, the Broadway musical star and chairwoman emeritus of the state Arts Council, performs "My Life on the Wicked Stage: A Tribute to the American Musical Theatre" at 8 p.m. Saturday in the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts, North Campus.
Opening tonight at 8 is Stage Struck Productions' performance of the musical "Guys and Dolls" in the Lancaster Opera House, 21 Central Ave. Elaine Roberts directs, musical direction by Amy Brown. Performances continue at 8 p.m. through Saturday and Oct. 16 to 18, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and Oct. 12 and 19.
Opening Friday night is a new musical, "Dracula, the Prince of Night," by Buffalo composer Paul Ziemba. Performances are in Desiderio's Dinner Theatre, 652 S. Ogden St., at 8 p.m. Friday and Oct. 10, 18 and 25 and at 4 p.m. Oct. 12 and 19.
Opening Friday night is the theatrical musical version of "The Wizard of Oz" performed by TNT Productions. TNT and its director, Thomas T. Kazmierczak III, have formed an alliance with Villa Maria College's Theatre at Villa, where the show will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, at 2:30 Sunday, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 and at 3 p.m. Oct. 11.
On Friday night, O'Connell & Company moves its performance of the musical comedy "Nunsense" from the Calumet Arts Cafe to Mount St. Mary Academy, 3756 Delaware Ave., Kenmore, for three performances at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
A dinner-theater performance of the comic mystery "Unnecessary Roughness" will be staged by Mobile Theater starting Saturday and continuing Oct. 11, 18 and 25 on the Niagara Clipper, which leaves from a dock at 650 River Road, North Tonawanda.
