David Crosby postponed a concert tour with his son because he needs surgery for a torn muscle in his abdomen.
Crosby, 57, will undergo surgery in mid-October, publicist Michael Jensen said. It will take three months for him to recover.
The surgery announcement came just two days after the walrus-mustached singer finished a Crosby, Stills and Nash tour.
"We've been out there for the last seven months and David has been a real trouper by pushing the musical envelope every night to create the level of excitement and quality that we achieved on this tour," Graham Nash said.
Crosby had been scheduled to begin touring in October with his new musical project C-P-R -- Crosby, Jeff Pevar and James Raymond. Crosby first met Raymond, his biological son, while recovering from a liver transplant three years ago.
