Six people were arrested on felony drug sale charges Wednesday following a three-month investigation into the sale of crack cocaine in the city's midtown area, Detective Lt. John Chella said.
Spearheaded by Niagara County Drug Task Force Investigator Patrick Cerminara, 23 task force investigators and city officers and detectives hit the streets early Wednesday and attempted to arrest 10 persons who were indicted by a county grand jury for selling crack cocaine to undercover officers from June through August.
Cerminara said the investigation centered at cutting down drug activity in the areas bordered by Michigan and Willow avenues and 15th and 16th streets.
Charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance were Shamus Gulley, 20, 901 Centre Ave.; Tracey R. Greene, 34, of 1319 Niagara St.; Anthony Bogan, 39, of 1507 13th St.; Antonio Pryor, 21, of 465 Ninth St.; Michael Cox, 31, of 17D Jordan Gardens and Jerry Jordan, 41, who is already being held in the Niagara County Jail on other charges, Chella said.
Police also executed two search warrants on 15th Street and at Packard Court. Eddie G. Knighton, 33, of 6D Packard Court was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, Chella said.
