TWO AMHERST BUSINESSES STRUCK BY BURGLARS

Burglaries netting about $250 in cash have occurred at two Amherst Monday, Amherst
police said Tuesday.

About $200 was taken from the Amherst office of Sentry Appliance Service Co. late Monday, police said.

Thieves entered the business, at 845 Niagara Falls Blvd., through a rear door, which was found pried open, police said. Early Tuesday morning, burglars made off with $50 in cash from Buck's Auto Parts
& Service, police said.

The burglary was discovered at 9:30 a.m. by Amherst
Patrolman Edward Ferger, who noticed a broken window on one of the bay doors of the business, located at 7730 Transit Road, police said.
