Commissioners of the Allegany Region Commission of the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation will receive an update today on the new cottage program at Allegany State Park.

The park has two new modern cottages available this year complete with bathrooms, bedding, microwave ovens and cooking utensils. The concept behind the cottages is to open up camping to families who might otherwise not consider a stay in a state park or have the equipment to go camping.

Joan A. Milligan, commission chairwoman, said the meeting will be at 9:30 a.m. in the Red House Administration Building.
