Albert J. Mullen, formerly of Angola, died Sept. 21, 1997, in Columbia Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla. He was 70.
He lived in North Port, Fla., since 1988.
Mullen was a carpenter and a volunteer firefighter while living in Angola.
He served in the Army's 44th Tank Corps Battalion, stationed in Japan, after the end of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Joan Sames; a son, Wayne D.; a daughter, Cynthia A. Miller of Mount Dora, Fla.; a sister, Doris Owen of Akron; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Porter and West avenues. A memorial service also will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 in St. John Evangelical Church, 962 Gold St., Angola.
