Anthony J. Panzica, 73, of Williamsville, a retired social worker, died Sunday (Sept. 28, 1997) in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst.
Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of Canisius High School and Santa Clara University. He served in the Army in the Philippines during World War II.
He retired in 1991 from the Erie County Department of Social Services after 33 years as a social worker. He moved to Williamsville from Kenmore seven years ago.
Panzica was a longtime member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Kenmore.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Marilyn Turner Panzica; two sons, Anthony P. of Kenmore and Mark; and a grandson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:15 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Church, Delaware Avenue and Victoria Boulevard, Kenmore. Prayers preceding the Mass will be said beginning at 9:45 in the Rolling Chapel of the Dengler Funeral Home, 3000 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
