Thelma Cuddeback, 74, a former Buffalo resident, died Friday (Sept. 26, 1997) in her Ridgefield, Conn., home.
The former Thelma Hess was born in Hornell and grew up in Canaseraga. She graduated from Rochester Business Institute and lived in Buffalo from 1958 to 1971.
For 32 years, she was an active member of the PEO Sisterhood, an organization that maintains five educational projects to further women's education. While living in Switzerland she was active in the American Church.
Survivors include her husband, Richard B.; two daughters, Cynthia Smith of Rochester and Marsha Desmond of Baton Rouge, La.; a son, Richard Jr. of West Chester, Pa.; her mother, Nora Hess of Waterloo; and eight grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Ridgefield. Burial will be Thursday in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford.
