SCHOOL COLLECTS CANS TO AID CITY MISSION

Students of the Christian Central Academy in Williamsville are hoping for a victory of their own when the Buffalo Bills meet the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The victory they are looking for is to collect a record number of cans of food for the City Mission.

The students are collecting food as their participation in Project America Day marked nationwide by more than 250,000 volunteers trying to help solve local problems.

The academy will be part of WBEN's Huddle for Hunger effort on Oct. 5 collecting canned goods at the radio station's
tailgate site at Rich Stadium.
