If all the bureaucratic baloney happening with the Buffalo Sabres is making you ill, try the alternative. I recently attended a Niagara Scenics Metro Jr. A hockey game with my son. The price was right ($5 general admission, $3 student), the seats were fantastic (center ice behind the glass) and the product on the ice was top notch.
The game was a 5-4 overtime win by a determined Huntsville team. My son couldn't stop thanking me all the way home from the West Seneca Ice Pavilion, where the Scenics play their home games. It was enough to make me completely forget that Larry guy and his good friend Darcy whatshisname.
I may or may not take my kids to a Sabre game this season (depending if I find the tickets falling off some tree). As long as the Scenics are in town, I'll be driving in their direction. Oh, and by the way, parking is absolutely free.
