Bernice Dolores Zablocki, 84, of Buffalo, a former employee of several area paper firms, died Saturday (Sept. 27, 1997) in Maplewood Health Care Center in Cheektowaga.
The former Bernice Bona was born in Buffalo and graduated from Hutchinson-Central High School before going to work at the AFC factory, a munitions manufacturer, during World War II. After the war, she began working for the F.N. Burt Paper Co. in Cheektowaga and later was employed at West Vaco Paper Co. in Buffalo, until she retired in 1955.
She was a lifetime member of the Legion of Mary and active in the Machnica Center on Clinton Street.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Kolodziejski of Lancaster and Jean Fisher; two sisters, Helene Makins of Florida and Gayle Healy; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:45 a.m. Monday in St. Teresa's Catholic Church, 1974 Seneca St. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. [chrstn]
